Frequently Asked Questions

How much product is needed for testing?

Flower or Trim = 1 gram per test with 3 grams required for full panel.
Concentrate (rosin, kief, hash, shatter, C02/ethanol/butane extractions) = .5 grams per test with 1.5 grams required for full panel

How do I establish an account with you?

In the top navigation bar, click on “SIGN IN!” and look for the link “Don’t have an account? New to Leaf Detective? Join today!” After your account is established, you’ll have access to the “Dashboard” which provides all the detail on the samples you’ve submitted.

How should I select my samples?

The best way to select a sample is to choose one that is representative of the lot in question. A representative sample is one that is composed of material that is similar in size, shape, density and overall quality to the material in the batch.

How should I package my samples for testing?

Place each sample into a separate package. Although plastic baggies will work for flower, we recommend placing them in a sturdy, air-tight container to protect it from being crushed. A plastic or glass container with a lid works well for kief and sticky products such as hash and extracts. Syringes work well for the thinner viscosity extracts.
